Anyways, when S broke her piggy bank, I wanted to get her one like the first one. Luckily I also found a matching blue one just right for her brother. S's college fund goes in hers, as will Marcus's when we get him. For now it hold the funds for the adoption.
And of course there's clothes. I have this routine where as soon as S has grown into the stash I've built up for her in her closet, I'll go out and replace things in the next few sizes up: pants, shoes, socks, shirts, pajamas and maybe an accessory or 2. Now I don't go nuts doing this- everything's a mixture of new and thrift stores because kids clothes are always brand new looking and adorable.
There's also the cloth diapers, but I won't make you look at those, mostly since my stash isn't quite done yet. I bought some newborn cloth diapers before we tried to conceive a sibling for S and then just packed them away until we got to use them. Now that we've opened our lives to adoption, I can get them out and pick the patterns and colors I like. It's funny, but I never used to consider doing the cloth thing, but when S was about 8 months old, I did a paper for an english class I had to take and researched disposable diapers. I did some research on cloth and that night, I ordered the ones I'd been looking at and as soon as I got them in the mail I donated the package she had left and have never looked back. I don't look down on those who use disposables but this is my choice for my babies. I'll write more on my parenting philosophies in another post since this is already pretty long. :-)
One more thing to show since I loved how the jungle stencils turned out the last time I used them, but since I had an ocean animal type theme picked out for baby boys room, I found these stencils to use around the wall by his crib:
I can't wait to make your life full of love, fun and family little guy. <3
